Recently, we had a baby shower for my sister-in-law. We are so excited to be adding another girl to our team. That will make the score a tie for my side of the family when their baby girl arrives… Boys 2 - Girls 2.
If I was a betting person, I’d say that score won’t last for long.
Isn’t it amazing how much stuff a (probably eight pound) newborn needs?
I always wonder how the pioneer women survived without all this.
No Boppy.
No Bjorn.
No Bumbo.
No way!
Could someone please take a look at this precious outfit for me?
And these tiny leopard shoes?
I just can’t look.
‘Cause I want more babies. I can’t even handle what I already have, but I want more. MORE I tell you!
You know, one of the most fun things about the shower (you know besides getting a niece out of the deal) was the fact that I got to make a new friend in the process. Amanda baked, decorated and shipped her beautiful cookies all the way across the United States in time for the party. She has a heart of gold and is so very talented. 
Not only were her cookies so cute, they tasted like heaven. In fact, I saw a couple of ladies at the shower put them in their purses!
So thank you, friend, for blessing my family and me with your beautiful confections. They were the pièce de résistance!

Big Kahuna and I have known each other since we were kids and have been married for almost 15 years. We are passionate about our family, travel and serving God. We love helping people and bringing them hope. We laugh ourselves to tears watching classic episodes of Saturday Night Live and The Office. Summer is our favorite season, and we live for warm evenings playing with the kids on the beach.
Big Surf is 14 years old. He's a voracious reader, focused, and spends hours building things. He is our resident techie and is also learning to play the violin. He loves to spend his free time playing baseball, flag football, or out on the trails by the house building his clubhouse.
Goofy Foot is ten years old. He devours his free reading books like there is no tomorrow. He is also the family comedian. If you see him, ask him to tell you a joke! He is tender-hearted, social and compliant. When he is not outside riding his bike, you'll find him drawing or writing a funny book.
Beach Bunny is three years old. She is our sunshine! She joined our family through the unbelievable gift of adoption. Beach Bunny loves to snuggle with us and carefully takes care of her baby dolls. She is super silly and must say hi to everyone! One word that describes her is "joy".

Ok, the leopard shoes? Tooo MUCH! And Amanda is amazing- I want to work up the courage to tackle her Rainbow Cake. (And the skill to do that lettering!)

Oh wow - those cookies!! That ruffly onesie is the cutest, sweetest thing I have seen in a long while. Oh, how I am ready for another baby in our home!
You are killing me with baby stuff and cookies. Killing me! I want another baby so bad...another little girl. I can't really handle what I have now but I want more (MORE!!)

OMG...those leopard baby shoes are so stinkin cute. I can't stand it! There is something about baby showers that make you smile from ear to ear the entire time. Everything looked fantastic and my mouth is watering over those cookies!

Oh I love me a baby shower! All the lovely wrapped gifts, the excitement of a new little person coming, and THOSE COOKIES! Oh I just love how Amanda decorates them.
wow...just wow, that's alooot of stuff. the princess onesie and leopard shoes are too cute. this kind of thing makes me want to have kids too, and i'm not even a mom yet, much less married! but i'm working on that, lol.
