Big Surf, who is a seventh grader, took a sick day from school today. I think he was more sick of studying for his history test than actually physically sick. Ancient Rome will just have to hold on another day or two.
It was so nice to spend the day with my biggest boy.
We went for a walk together. It was such a beautiful fall day… the kind of day that makes me want to cook soup and go buy a fuzzy scarf.
Beach Bunny loves to ride on her big brother’s shoulders. It’s a fun and wild ride sometimes! These two are buds, and I love to watch my super tough Jr. Higher obediently follow his sometimes bossy two-year-old baby sister’s every command.
I love “sick” days!

"Sick" days are awesome! I love the pics!! ;-)
That is my kind of "Sick" day! I know there are challenges to having children spaced apart (at least in my home there is!) But there are also SO many blessings and such a unique relationship when there is space too.
I love that in the first picture you can see that he is smiling almost as big as she is! Love it!
Love the pictures....what a brother!

I can tell you don't live around here. It is in the 30s and 40s and raining for a week!!
I think I need to move to where you are.

If I lived where you live, I wouldn't be able to hold down a job - I'd be taking sick days all the time! What a cute brother!
It is so wonderful to have big brothers. I bet you had a good time.

GORGEOUS photos! Sick days can be the SWEETEST days huh??
We call those "Ferris Day's" here in our house. Nothing better than one on one time.
Such beauties you have!!! And what a connection they have even with the age difference. Thanks for sharing.
How sweet! I love to see how my two nieces and newphew cater to their youngest sister who is 6, 7 and 8 years younger.
