I haven’t had a chance to blog in a few days, and I’m having withdrawals! Our best friends took a vacation to Puerto Rico, and we got to keep their kids for a few days. That made six kids at my house… three boys and three girls- Brady Bunch style. Man, I sure could have used Alice’s help! No wonder she lived with them!!
I went outside to take a few pictures of all six kids as they were playing S.O.P. (Spy On Parents), as they call it. They get all decked out in homemade disguises and use walkie-talkies and then they “spy” on us. We pretend we don’t see them. It’s a riot!
Beach Bunny isn’t a very good spy yet, but she is good at being my shadow. I love that she always wants to be with me, AND I find it an exercise in patience sometimes. Tell me, do you have a little shadow that follows you wherever you go?

This picture is SO gorgeous! You just have to submit it to some kind of contest or something. My little shadow thinks that all of our family members were placed here to love on and play with her :)
Girl, my little one is a mini me as everyone calls her because she looks just like me and is just like me and is everywhere I go! I love every minute of it!!!! I hope it never changes!! Your little one is GORGEOUS!
My shadow is my favorite little girl in the world! I LOVE having her close to me, wanting to "help" with whatever I'm doing. I'm so thankful for this little one wanting to be like her Mama!!
Melinda
Yep, I have a couple of those shadows around here.
She is a cute shadow!
Love the pic! Kuddos to you for keeping your friends children! What a great friend you are!
I don't know if I would call Gillian my shadow or the monkey hanging on my neck! I love it sometimes and find it an exercise in patience most of the time!! ;)
Your shadow is sure cute!! I love when children can really believe we can't see them or don't know what they are up to if we merely look away! :-)
1. Gorgeous Beach Bunny!
2. Yes, YES I have a shadow and his name is Nathan. Except my shadow claws at my legs and pulls down my shorts/pants trying to pull himself up or to make me lose my patience and just pick him up. Not so much fun when I am trying to do the dishes. LOL
=)
I love my little shadow and wish I could spend more time with her! She told me last night that she was sad when she was out with her sister because she missed me... the sweetest thing ever!
Love that picture of your little Beach Bunny!
Okay...how sweet are you...I love the "excercise in patience" wording....shows your grace!!!
This is the first year where three of my four children are goiong to school. And since they started last week, my son is following me EVERYWHERE!!! It is not enough for him to be in the same room...I have to holding him or he has to be sitting in my lap.(When I take a shower he stands right outside the door and crys until I get out. Seriously). I love him and wouldn't trade him for anyhting in the world....but THIS is driving me C-R-A-Z-Y!!! My husband and I were laughing about how "bad" it is and he said that Ethan probably thinks I "shipped" the others off and he doesn't want to be next! I know this is just giong to take some adjusting.
I also know that in a few years when its time for him to go to school, I'll probably be VERY sad that there's no longer anyone to follow me around the house with their arms stretched up. I try to keep reminding myself of that.
That is such a great picture of BB. She is adorable! Sophia is my shadow...all day every day. She wants to do everything with mommy. I love it but I am a loner so it is a exercise in patience for me too.
PS Dmitry loves to play spy on the parents!
Oh...and one more thing....KUDOS to you for watching your friends kiddos!! I can only imagine how crazy it must have been with SIX in the house...what a great friend!! I pray that God blesses your generosity and hospitality!! :)
That's one gorgeous shadow! :)
Very pretty shadow is right!!!! stunning!
Love the pic..She is gorgeous
What a gorgeous picture. She is an adorable shadow. She can follow me around if she wants. I would love another little girl around here...
It depends on the day if I have a shadow or not.
beautiful photo!!! I have 3 shadows. My 4 year old daughter, my 6 month old son who follows after me in his walker and my 11 year old pug that is constantly under my feet. Life would be boring without them :o)
two of them! LOL The picture is gorgeous!
That picture is amazing!!!! You are framing it, right?? :)
Shadow - yes! It is the best! Also, it is physical exercise as well! Picking her up constantly so she can help me do something :)
I think this is my favorite all time picture of Bella! It is so darling and so gorgeous! The pig tails are to die for! Lucia is also my shadow. . love it and really hard to get anything done:)
Love the picture! So funny you mention little shadows. I was just talking to my husband about how our oldest has always wanted to be in the same room as me...and he's 4.5 now!
So beautiful! I love my two shadows!
Sounds like fun taking a few new residents for a little while! I love that picture of Beach Bunny. Just melts my heart! Big hugs and kisses for her! :)
what a beautiful photo of you daughter. Thank you so much for all of your encouraging words on my blog. That is what gets us through the days while we are waiting.....
I have a houseful of boys here. My oldest who is 18 and moved out, used to be a bot of a shadow. We are really close. But I have discovered for the most part, as boys reach the age of about 5 or 6 they tend to shadow their daddy's...This is good he is a great example to shadow...though there have been those times, when I wished they still wanted to shadow me.
Thanks for stopping by :)
I know exactly what you mean about a little shadow. My shadow is now eleven and still wants to be with me - I love it - but at times trying.. My 13 year old on the other hand - likes it better in her cave (room).
Love your sweet blog.
Kelly
My girl is only 3.5 months old - she's a shadow in training.
SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I love this picture....and yes, I have a 2 year old shadow that says and does everything I do!! Love it.
Stacy,
This picture is a glimpse into what this child will look like in 3years. She is beautiful with an even more beautiful soul than we could have imagined. I love imagining her following you around and aspiring to be Mama!
It's been crazy at your house, huh? Wow! Many prayers for your sanity. I bet you handled it all with you grace and patience.
Love, Amanda
That picture of Beach Bunny is just precious! The softness in her eyes is priceless!
What Photoshop package do you have? You photo editing is fantastic... makes me want to start editing! I would love to know all your tricks and what you use to make all your photos shine!

Beach Bunny is too cute!!!
Your photography is just amazing! I particularly love the photo in "Sweet Dreams". The colors are beautiful.
Gorgeous picture - those eyes! My 18-month-old is very independent and while she might keep half an eye on me to see where I am, she's not always attached to me. Her newest game, however, is going through my legs while I'm cooking, cracking herself up each time. Kids! :)
Wow! That is one beautiful girl! My little shadow stays right with me too. I have nearly fallen over him several times! :-)
just stumbles on your blog! Gorgeous picture!!!! i would LOVE to find your posts about adoptions. we are praying about expanding our family. she is precious!!!
good evening friends. I'm really into shoes and I was searching as far as something that meticulous brand. The prices for the sneakers are about 350 pounds on every page. But definitively I bring about this location selling them for half price. I absolutely want these gucci sneakers. I will probably buy these. what can you say about it?
