Your Photo- My Edit

A great blogging friend, Angie, and I were recently collaborating on a few editing techniques. She's a wonderful photographer, and I love her work (her blog here). Below is the original picture that Angie took of her daughter. How cute is she! I wanted to try to give the photo more of a vintage-y look, which is so popular right now. I threw in a "platinum" edited version just for fun. I edited them both first in Lightroom and then Photoshop Elements. I also used two Florabella textures, as well as one from Jessica Sprague.

Edit #1:

Edit #2

I can't decide which edited version I like better.
Will you help me out?
Tell me which version you prefer.

That's a tough one. I am leaning towards #1.

I have toyed with getting Florabella but have not splurged on myself yet...do you love them?

She is beautiful in all three, but I love the sepia toned one the best.

Both are gorgeous - the sepia one catches my eye though. I've been hearing a lot about Lightroom lately and throwing around the idea of trying it out, but I'm terrible with Photoshop....

Sepia is my fav, but all our amazing!

Can't go wrong with either, but #1 is eye catching.

OMG! You can't go wrong with any of the three... what an amazingly beautiful little girl and I love her smile and the sparkle in her eyes!

I love the warmth of the Sepia... but it depends on if she is going to frame it... if she is, I always lean towards the true black and white.

Beautiful! I really, really, really want Lightroom... I hate my Photoshop Elements and almost always just edit in Picasa. But, first, I must learn manual.

WOW- I have got to figure out how to do that! They both look amazing! I like #1, but they both look really good! You are so talented! I can't wait to take those online photo classes and hopefully start learning some of these tricks! :)

I love them both! I found your blog through Kelly's Korner and have just enjoyed looking at your work. I have always loved photography, just haven't had the time to enjoy it with two children keeping me occupied. Thank you for sharing! You've inspired me to do more with it! I like the sepia just because she looks great in brown! I am a brown-eyed girl too.

All are fabulous--what a great subject and photo to begin editing from! I personally like the classic black and white (#2). I feel her eyes really pop in that image and the highlights in her hair are very strong and gorgeous in that one! I'm featuring a photo I edited tomorrow on my blog--check it out. I edited in Photoshop, let me know your thoughts! I also welcome any suggestions you have! :)

They are both gorgeous. But I would have to say the sepia. I usually like black and whites better, but this one just pops in sepia. Stunning.

wow wow wow wow, Those are incredibly gorgeous and that super beautiful model is out of this world. I don't know if I could really choose one but if push came to shove, I guess I'd probably go with number 1!

I like then both but....I'll pick #1

Your good girl!

WOW! What a beautiful little girl and a bigger WOW to what you did with the original photo! I love them both, but I personally tend to lean toward cooler rather than warmer tones so I have to vote for #2.
